Oscar

Mom was talking to a friend on the phone and when she hung up, she called me to follow her and we got on the computer. (I wasn't "on" the computer like standing ON it. It's just an expression.) (In English, not in Cat.)

Mom's friend told her about a book called Making Rounds With Oscar. This cat, Oscar, lives in a nursing home in Rhode Island and has a sense that tells him if someone is within an hour or two of death. Oscar visits every patient every day and, if a person is dying, he jumps up on the bed and stays with with him. The doctors and nurses trust Oscar and so far he's predicted some 50 deaths. Oscar has been written up in the New England Journal of Medicine and he even has a page in Wikipedia.

Mom and I think this is fascinating. My Mom said there's no telling what a Cat can do. Like who'd ever think I'd be writing Poetry?
