HOW WE CAME TO BE

SISTER PANTHER EXPLAINS:
Mom and I decided to get together to write this blog and so it will have stories from both of us. Actually, I'm not too good on the computer but I can dictate like I'm doing now. I put my thoughts into Mom's head and she writes them down.
Like this: My Mother is the best! She's my Role Model! My Mother is allergic to cats and yet, at Great Personal Sacrifice, she took me from the animal shelter and gave me a home. I sing her praises! I kiss her toes!
My mom is teaching me to speak and I can say "Mama"!

FROM ME:
I never ever expected to have a cat! I had been fostering kittens. With fostering, you have all the fun - you get to name the cats and play with them and then after a couple of weeks you bring them back to the animal shelter. It's a 2-week cycle of love.
Panther I took home on a shelter break. She was stressed and hissed and clawed and hated other cats. She was having a big problem being adopted out. I didn't see her before she was handed over to me but the carrier she was in weighed a ton!
So this is what happened: We looked at each other and understood. We belonged together.
Panther is: a domestic long-hair, black black black, 6 1/2 years old, and huge. She is an enormous cat.

SISTER PANTHER ROSE, OF
"Panther" was my given name and I wanted to keep it. I needed something of my own. But since I found a home, I've taken my vows with the Order of Felines. Now I'm known formally as "Sister Panther Rose". There are several Roses in my mom's family and I'm proud to take the name as my own.
